I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We had a great family cookout....I hosted over 50 family and friends for our annual 4th celebration. It was great, thankful that the rain held out.
I have recently joined an Etsy team called eSMArts and I am loving it! It is a new team still in the forming stage but what a wonderful group of artisans. If you are an Estian and looking to be part of a great team take a look at these links ....
I've included example of the lovely items made by our talented team members.
Best,
D

Welcome aboard Diane :) Great work with the treasuries!
Hi, Diane!
Not sure how to answer your posts on my blog, so that you get them, so I'll answer here....
Re: the sewing machine-- I had an old Elna for years, and loved it. Couldn't afford a new one when it finally wore out, and to fix the one I had would have been about $400 (needed new "brushes" for the motor), and my very basic Singer wasn't good for much except straight seaming... and a pain to find parts for! Which is the main reason I wanted the Brother-- local dealers have parts, in case they are needed. EuroPro seems to have the same "no parts readily available" problem -- even according to the reviewers who liked the machine itself. And a three month or more wait on getting a part is not satisfactory....
Re: the silver clay-- loved it. I used to do ceramics, in a former life, and it's like working with porcelain clay. Very smooth texture, dries quickly. Main problems for me are the costs associated with it, and needing appropriate space for a kiln.
By the way-- great job on all the eSMArts team work you're doing!
